Ku Nan's NO to 505 at Padang Merbok

Whether they have obtained a police permit or not, KL City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur or DBKL) will not allow 505 rally to be held at Padang Merbok on June 15.

Alamak! I think the opposition will contest the decision announced by Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor yesterday.

That means Anwar & Gang will have to find another venue or just 'bust into' Padang Merbok, which will pose a lot of problems if they do. As the venue is an open place, it will 'invite' the police and passers by.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 ― The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will not permit Pakatan Rakyat (PR) to use Padang Merbok for its mass rally this June 15, Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said today.
The Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general denied, however, that this was intended to stop the federal opposition pact from hosting the event, saying instead that the venue was not suitable as it was an open space.
He advised PR to move its plans to indoor venues such as stadiums or other appropriate locations.
“We allow them to hold their gathering in closed areas. I was informed by the (KL) Mayor that they applied to use Padang Merbok.
“But to me, Padang Merbok is an open space... in open spaces, we will not give (our permission) because we know the law and abide by it,” he said when approached after a function at KL Sentral here.
The Putrajaya MP later criticised the attitudes of opposition leaders whom he alleged were encouraging unlawful behaviour among Malaysians by their actions.
“I would like to advise that we live in a place with law and order. The opposition is trying to create this environment to the people where it is like we live in the jungle... we do not follow the laws of the jungle,” he said.
Where are other suitable venues for them? Merdeka Stadium? Dataran Merdeka? KL Stadium? TPCE Stadium?

However, my early warning to Ku Nan - it will not chase them away from Padang Merbok, believe me! So, better get ready as an open rally like that usually spells danger!

salam tn,

padang merbok is still the venue for 505 despite DBKL hard stand.

this people see no law in the country for them to abide. they have their own set of jungle law to follow and they want malaysians to join them.

very clear lor, they will get more provocative after this.

u dont believe uh?

just let them.

let them do whatever they want to do.

but if they get rowdy, send in the security forces and round them up!

Black 505 is becoming whiter with the curiosity of the crowd dwindling from the thousands to hundreds of people who are led to believe that Anwar and his cronies and diehard supporters will win against the BN government. It's a political perception and deception to wood wink the people's blind trust for the outlawed opposition leadership of Anwar Ibrahim.

Now as Anwar is demonitised in his own PKR camp and being slowly isolated by DAP and PAS, there is a consensus that a popular young DAP leader like Tony Pua should be appointed as the Opposition Leader.

,DAP and PKR should merge into a single party on one side of the political divide and hopefully 1UMNO and PAS will be on the other side to pave the way for a two party system of parliamentary democracy in the future of Malaysian political scene.

bagus, ku nan!

jangan beralah. kalau beralah, nampak sangat kita ni terlalu bertolak ansur walaupun dah banyak kali bertolak ansur!

biar dia cari tempat lain, tempat yang tertutup. padang merbok tu tempat terbuka, susah nak kawal nanti.

Ku Nan, Please stand your ground, we the silent majority do not like the demonstration to be held in public places. Put them in Merdeka Stadium and let them jump and shout there. I hate Annuar for flouting the laws. He is stupid and a bloody idiot.

I bet RM10 that Anwar will hold his rally at Padang Merbok, permission or no permission.

The reason is simple, no matter what any minister will say, Najib have the final say and we any fool know whose side he is in.

So, get used to frequent rallies all over the country until GE14. then we can say RIP to BN/UMNO. You guess who is the dalang?
