Having PAS as one of its component also didn't help much as PAS - deviating from its original war path - is having DAP and PKR on its back. That makes PAS toothless in the 3-party political pact.
Even Nik Aziz and Hadi Awang failed (or not allowed) to give some insights to Anwar and his economic team in preparing details for the budget. What a shame!
While BN gives much emphasis on Islam like enhancing the role of Yayasan Wakaf, withdrawal from the EPF for hajj purposes and RM200 million for Halal Industry Fund, PR has overlooked such importance, paying too much attention on other things, including a RM4 billion fund for women's movement!
Comments from MyNewsHub:
PR previously criticized BN for putting aside Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SAR) in this current Budget. PR’s hypocrisy is simply sickening especially fi we are to look at the party in issues such as murtad, including the usage of the word Allah SWR by non-Muslims and Bibles in Bahasa Melayu which they support. So much of an 'alternative budget'!.
If the matter of akidah is small to them, what qualifies PR to question other matters regarding Islam to other people?
Muslims also need to understand that knowledge in Islam does not revolve around the religion alone. It was even stressed in the Quran that the task of mankind is to look out for knowledge in various aspect of life such as science, astronomy, mathematics etc.
That is why it is right for the government to combine all subjects in education including religious studies in the national budget.
Meanwhile, religious development in the other hand should not only revolve around ibadah such as zakat or haj, but it should be as a whole such as combating poverty which could lead people to become ‘kufur’ among Muslims, in terms of social and crime which is rising.
Where were Hadi, Nik Aziz, Mat Sabu and the rest? Don't tell me PKR itself doesn't have any Islamic scholar who can give ideas as how Islamic clauses should be included in their budget?
Who actually worked out its details? Of course Anwar is the main brain. Who else? Only PKR and DAP?
