The man who destroys democracy in Sabah...

“I hope Sabahans will still remember how he (Anwar) destroyed democracy in Sabah after the 1994 state election when he had successfully orchestrated the party hopping which included Datuk Seri Panglima Lajim Ukin... and as a reward, Lajim was given a ministerial portfolio in lieu of his former appointment as an assistant minister under Pairin’s government..." - Dtk Herbert T Lagadan
The Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) vice president also reminded Sabahans about Anwar’s promise of developing Sabah in 100 days which he had formulated as the Deputy Prime Minister cum Sabah Election Operation Director in 1994.

That attempt, he said, had failed to derail PBS.

“This time around he has successfully enticed Lajim and Tuaran member of parliament Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Bumburing to jump to his side on the fringe of the 13th general election.

“I am perplexed as to why Anwar had the gut to accuse the BN government of not heeding previous request to form the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) in Sabah when in fact he was the first to reject PBS’ proposal in 1994?

"The team combination of a ‘master promise maker (PKR) and a ‘fact twister’ is a recipe for grand disaster for Sabah,” he said.

Actually, the opposition was not interested in finding solutions to the perennial problem of illegal immigrants in Sabah through the RCI. Pakatan Rakyat was instead trying to capitalise on the issue merely for political gain.

Even before the commission embarked on its duty, Pakatan was shooting at it, saying it would fail. And as espected, former PM Tun Dr Mahathir's government became their main target by accusing him of granting too many citizenship and PR status to the foreigners.

Why can't the opposition lend a hand in solving the issue, instead of mocking at it? Should they are able to form the next government, how would they tackle such a big problem?

(Also read Tan Sri Bernard Dompok's statement that the RCI is not meant to find and punish those involved in issuing the immigrants with Mykad and PR).

so much attention is given to sabah, both by BN and PR.

what's so special about the state when their people are not genuinely loyal to malaysia for their 'sabah for sabahans' slogan?

about the RCI, i doubt it will yield good result because of the short time frame.

anyway, let's wait and see...

so what!

the opposition, i believe has another set of solution for the immigrant issue in sabah.

bn can shout about the RCI but pakatan has a better deal in finding the best solution to it!

a true chameleon he is!

he broke his promises to sabah people and now he wants to ruin the whole state by opposing the RCI which will help separate locals from the immigrants.

what else does he want?

to get sabah out of malaysia?

coming from a PBS leader, a party which once left barisan nasional, is very significant.

u need to leave bn first before realising how rotten the opposition is.

in this case, one can easily differentiate who are the men and boys.

if pakatan is good enough, they can wait for general election.

for the time being, no need to entice the MPs to crossover. crossing over is deemed as a betrayal to those who had voted for us.

those who hop to other party before ending the mandate given by the electorates are people of the lowest political integrity!

datuk najib perlu lihat ke arah isu lain.

selepas felda, kini sabah pula.

@Sameon,

Its Worth letting the Opposition rule Sabah...

At Least we can compare and Contrast the Two Parties's performance..

If The opposition performs worse then the people can still go back to BN. As it is BN has failed Sabahans Miserably

The man who destroyed democracy in Sabah is 80+ years old, and is about to kick the bucket. No point going after him, we just have to ensure that there will not be a repeat of Project M.

Seriously, you PR supporters should be reading some history about Anwar and his doings during his stay in BN instead of blaming everything on someone else. Only people who don't look at a story from 2 sides will blindly support one.
