4 issues affecting 4 million votes!

Issue No. 1

Too much attention on Felda. So much is offered to the settlers. Yes, we are proud of them, of their achievement and their contribution to the national gross income. However, are they the only ones the nation depends on for commodity? What is actually Felda's contribution in terms of volume and percentage to the national commodity output? What about the estimated 750,000 rubber and oil palm smallholders who, I believe, also play an important role in multiplying our commodity exports. Who speaks for them during their difficult time? Who supports them when they are faced with similar problems the Felda settlers had to face, especially when the commodity price took a big dip. Who will help them in their 'thick and thin'? Risda? Felcra? Agriculture Department? Who? Most of the small estate holders are still finding it difficult to make ends meet. For those who depend solely on tapping rubber, the monsoon always spell disaster. But who listens to their woes? Aren't they our voters?

Issue No. 2

Too much attention in wage adjustment for the civil servants. This includes the police and soldiers. However, we are forgetting about 3.5 million voters - namely 2.94 million Rela members and about 500,000 Askar Wataniah. They are not civil servants by technicality. They are only paid allowances which are much lower than that of any dispatch riders with the government offices or the private sector. Most of them also rely on this allowance to feed their family. We need them at all times to boost our security, helping the police and the army in keeping the house stable and trouble-free. However, they are made to buy their own boots and uniforms (which are not cheap, obviously) before getting reimbursed months later, provided that the claims are not lost. Aren't they our voters too?

Issue No. 3

About BR1M. Do we have a proper master or check list? Why are there still many single mothers, single fathers, 'warga emas' above 60 and those under the low-income bracket are not getting it? Why are there pensioners and those drawing more than RM3,000 per month got it? Who actually conducted the survey and who approved the list given? I believe there is favoritism in distributing the BR1M, don't you agree with me?

Issue No. 4

TV3 reality program 'Bersamamu' is a shame for a fast developing country like Malaysia. While we give strong thrust on our economic development, we don't really focus on problems on the ground. Let me ask this - what is the function of a JKKK (Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kemajuan Kampung)? Don't tell me they are not able to detect or distinguish any household that does not have enough food to eat and clothes to wear? How big is a kampung, tell me! What have they been doing all this while to disregard such a local problem? Playing politics? The JKKK should keep abreast with developments in their respective kampungs, report it to the 'penghulu' or Adun or the Member of Parliament. Effectively, nobody should be allowed to live that kind of pathetic life if the JKKK, its State Assemblyman and the MP attend to it. Aren't you people with the JKKK, the Adun and MP feel ashamed when the poor in your area is highlighted on 'Bersamamu'? It reflects how poor your political management is... and there goes the vote for you!

Issue nomber 3:

Do all those pensioners, warga emas and ibu tunggal come to LHDN to apply??? The government all ready lay out the mechanism for those who eligible to apply for it.. it is simple because the government dont have the exact figure to the dot.

So dont blame the government if this group of people dont apply.. the sorrounding community should also play a part.. All NGO's and alll political parties should play their parts.

I think LHDN already do their best to check and process to assertain the eligibality of the applicants.

Tv3 is sistematically sabotaging BN. Because farid is busy kipas Rosmah on orders from Pakatan.

cant agree more bro.

people are seeing najib as only giving the cake to felda settlers. just because of its listing plan, the small estate holders who represent more than half of the number of settlers are being neglected.

the govt should look into their welfares too as they also contribute much to the national income.

the way the govt treats felda settlers gives the impression that the country only rely on them and not others for commodity.

kami seperti anak tiri, cuma dihargai bila khidmat kami diperlukan.

jai,

good one.

we support the govt but we deserve every rights to criticise them. as we are not MPs, blogs are the best avenue to do so.

i myself wanted to write about this BR1M issue last month but someone advised me not to. u know la why.

i hope some corrections are made before we call for the general elections.

bravo bro

kalau JKKK pun nak main politik, elok letak jawatan je.

Bersamamu sepatutnya mengaibkan wakil rakyat kawasan berkenaan. ini tak, dia pulak akan terhegeh-hegeh muncul bagi bantuan, biar muka masuk tv. apa ni?

bujai,

votes from felda la for najib and gang.

easy logic!

valderama said...

apart from the 4 issues, there are many more but the one about felda, rela and BR1M are really big ones.

what are najib advisers doing? PM is too busy with his routine but the people around his waist should be feeding him with all this input.

makan gaji buta ka?

jagalah PM's image!

kepada anon 8:54.

aku rasa kau ni orang melayu. elok lah cakap melayu.

kita perlu ingat, bukan semua orang kaya macam kau.

bersamamu?

keh keh keh!

menelanjangi kelemahan wakil rakyat sebenarnya bersamamu ni.

jkkk pun sepatutnya malu sebab nampak sangat tak buat apa kerja pun, kecuali baham projek yang diperuntukkan untuk kampung dia.

Anonymous said...

jangan nafikan hal ni. kalau orang miskin kat kawasan sendiri pun dia tak pantau, apa nak jadi?

maknanya dia cuma pentingkan tempolok sendiri dan kawan2 dia!

memang besau punya hawau!

samara said...

pemberian duit 500 tu sama je macam pemberian rumah murah.

nak cakap apa lagi!!!!

to those who think ada pihak yg tak layak terima BR1M sila buat laporan polis...

Let's separate the 2 issues here between sound policies and flawed implementation.

Those policies are sound as they will effectively upgrade the majority of Malays as a whole.

The potential of real income increase is definitely there. Why should only the urban dwellers enjoy high income. These schemes will help spread wealth into the rural areas.

While sound policies must be defended, the implementation flaws must also be addressed. I'm sure if these flaws are raised and tackled, wealth creation for the rural areas will be successful.

penulisan yg berani, bro.

memang elok berani tegur kerajaan. bukan kita tak sokong tapi bukan semua yg kerajaan buat tu elok untuk semua pihak.

keluarga aku pekebun kecil getah, ada la 3 ekar. pokok pun dah tua. dah setahun mohon bantuan pokok baru tapi masih belum dapat jawapan.

agaknya kita perlu tebang pokok tua ni dah tanam dengan ganja je!

not easy to be fair and to please everyone.

but at least there are efforts to reach out for the people u mentioned in this posting.

yes, they are as important as the felda settlers.

Simple, for the last decade - BN decided to play the role of opposition (when it lost the popular votes) to try to become more relavent but at the cost of governance.

-1- felda is the gov last batch of 'net profit' arm, so it is basically privatizing 'the profits'. As for the others, rubbers etc... What is the gov economic blueprint exactly? Moving up higher in the tech niche market.... So where do commodity fitin? Pahang wants to do ICT, so do melacca and so many other states... What are they smokin?
-2- wage incre??? Min wage ??? How many consec years are we in defisit budget??? Smokin what?
-3- what is exactly br1m objective, again.... Hmmm, thot so, .. So why bother...
-4- not blaming the MP/adun (coz they are hopeless, refer to the budget) but i am seriously pissed of with ZAKAT, screw the politican, zakat still got a responsibility to execute- failure to do so will results in tuntutan

Now, moral of the story - BN stop trying to be the gomen and gomen stop trying to be BN. You are not one single entity:bn u politik /gomen u do ur job. Do not mix it up.... Is that too difficult? If so then everthing will be in smoke!

bantai lagi bro!

Tuan,

The Issues you raised adalah Tak Glamour so will not be on the Radar Screen!!

Lebih Glamour Perhimputan Berjuta Belia...Why? Belia Voters are more important than those people you mentioned.

Lebih Glamour ETP, BR1M etc etc. Itu akan lebih menonjol activiti Transformasi.

Lebih Glamour 1Malaysia... Yaitu United Malaysians.
