Man U 1, Man C 6
Manchester United ate humble pie at home, the grand Old Trafford. By record, that was its worst home defeat in decades.
However, many (including me) feel Man U is still far better than Man C. The only thing is, that Sunday was not Man U lucky day. Everything went wrong (here).
PM Najib and other Man U fans who watched the Big Sunday game at his residence in Putrajaya yesterday could feel the frustration. Being routed by an 'underdog' was not an easy fact to accept. But that's what sports (soccer) is all about.
I guess the rule applies to politics as well. Being a strong and hard-to-defeat is not a guarantee to win a general election. Just like soccer, if we field wrong players, adopting to ineffective tactics and undermining the team we are taking on, we could end up paying a big price.
So, we need to choose the right players, apply the best tactic and don't boast of being a 'champion of all times'.
There are many lesson to be learnt from other countries (and other football teams)...
