Pos Laju is a nuisance!

update June 7 - I asked my friend who sent me the parcel to counter check. It was lying at the Kota Bharu Post Office this morning, so I asked him to put it on a Budaya Ekspress bus to KL so that I will get it on Wednesday morning. Wake up, Pos Laju!


The biggest postal company in Malaysia. It has been corporatised, and the idea of corporatisation or privatisation is to improve its service on the back of better revenue and widespread operations.

However, Pos Laju - a courier service of Pos Malaysia - is not up to expectation, not just yet. Many complaints fell on deaf ears. Time and time again when customers bank their hope for fast delivery of their letters, document and packages, Pos Laju is not 'laju' in that sense.

I remember a Lat cartoon depicting Pos Laju logo with a tortoise instead of a bird some years ago. And I now I agree with him.

Such a big company, thousands of workers and a fleet of modern vehicles but its management is of third class quality. They couldnt be bothered if customers fail to have their packages delivered on time.

I am furious with their standard of service. It happened not once but several times. Latest was a package sent by a friend to me from Kota Bharu on Wednesday, and I have yet to receive it. A call to Pos Laju office got a rotten answer - Kelantan was on public holiday, and plus weekends in Kuala Lumpur, it is expected to arrive by Monday.

So, I lost a few thousand ringgit for not being able to deliver the document I promised someone today.

I wonder if Pos Laju runs its own flights, will the pilot jump or turn off the engine mid-air when the time enters a public holiday zone?

And of course, the Malays are running Pos Laju. Aware of how the Malay mentality is when it comes to business and customers, I regret it when the company fell into the wrong hands. We should have let the Chinese or the 'Mat Salleh' operates it...

So, is it wrong to hire other courier companies for a good job done?

To Pos Laju management, you people reall are the 'PKM'! Please translate that PKM into your own meaning...

sir, pos laju is a real nuisance, i must admit. they only know how to charge you but never want to improve their service to the public.

they have a special service for the corporate sector but that also comes to so many delays.

i wonder if the govt awarded the company to the better team as the one we have now is lack of experience in postal business.

saya juga masih ingat kartun lat tu. pada mulanya menteri berkenaan marah dengannya tapi lama-lama dia sendiri pun terkena khabarnya bila bungkusannya ke langkawi ambil masa 4 hari untuk sampai dari kuala lumpur.

apa nak jadi dengan pengswastaan kita hari ini?

I also have had problems with Pos Laju. For the past month, the posman servicing my Kajang area had made 4 'attempts' to deliver 4 registered letters. At each attempt the posman will sound his motorcycle horn and leave an apparently ready prepared notice that he is unable to deliver! All these done before you can even get down from the upstairs/ or back of the house room to investigate. Result...forced to visit the Post Office to get those registered letters. So much for Post Laju service.

Whenever Post Laju makes deliveries to us and if nobody is at home, PostLaju would leave a note that we have to collect the parcel/document at their depot. While other courier service providers after their first failed delivery would phoned us and to make appointment to make a second delivery. What a contrast in service. PKM.

takkan nak biar pos laju jadi macam siput babi je.

rakyat kena caj mahal setiap kali nakkan perkhidmatan ekpress daripada mereka tapi mereka pulak yang endah tak endah.

better change the whole management and send the rest of pos laju staffs to team building seminar for a month.

pos laju is not laju, i agree. they only want our money but fail to keep up to their motto.

i used to get my parcels 9 days after it was sent from johor baru to melaka.

sikit la punya hawau pos laju ni! anak haram sungguh!

forget about pos laju.

there are other efficient courier providers in the country. we got options.

if nobody subscribe to pos laju services, they will have to close shop.

so malaysians - stop using pos laju!

i agree that all express bus companies should do the this extra service so that they can earn extra.

we cant depend on our postal service. they are a bunch of craps!

you should ask your best friend, the minister of information or the famous ksu to investigate this matter. pos malaysia including 'pos lambat' is under their jurisdiction. or maybe you would like to sue this pos laju or ask for a certain amount of compensation!

today i should have receive a parcel from poslaju. but what i got instead is Sorry we cant reach u note, and have to go fetch the item.
i was waiting a whole day for it.
nobody knock, nobody ring, but suddenly just a note. poslaju sux sux sux sux sux. i want to swear, but cant do it here in public.
gib u middle finger pos malaysia.

my parcel was sent from ipoh a week ago. no evidence was left that PL guy came to deliver. i still have not got it.
my sis in ipoh checked there and was told that parcel is at PL, petaling jaya.i should go and claim it there.
A check with customer service in pj said parcel was delivered to a different person at a different location! can you beat that??
i don't know what to do now?

Sometimes we use to look people weaknesses but in reality we are also PKM but not on the same occasion..please reflect yourself...don't put races in the comments, do you think other races are the best?...maybe like yourself, an idiot thinking, non-rational, etc..etc...what's attitude is that? what races is that...think.. constructive comments will help a lot....

I have 4 online shops and has been operating quite sometime. I have used many other courier services within malaysia and at the end of the day, I stick with poslaju. I agree they need to improve but they are better compared with others especially on customer service and punctuality (improving). I can give you the tips, before sending, you need to ask at the counter how long will the delivery takes.. remote area without specific poslaju centre will take 2 to 3 days. Big city, all within 1 days.

I read that someone suggested to close down poslaju, in that case, all courier companies should be closed as well. I live in UK, Holland before.. and I can tell you that poslaju are equal to their service and much better in customer service....

just my 2 cents..

Ive had many encounters and bad experience with pos laju... Not only have they failed to deliver on time but they have a problem of picking up the bloody phone. My parcel was late the other day and i was furious cus i waited since morning infront of the door as it was urgent. i col their line it was engaged col again didnt pick up and this went on and on.. i can bet you the ladies at poslaju probably 'bergayut' on the phone. Another issue is when we col their call centre their excuse is always the same they claim that their driver has come oredi but we were not at home which is a total lie cus 1.The tag they normally left is not hanging on my grill. 2. i have been infront of the door the whole 2 days like a guard dog. and they can bullshit their way out of it...hurm...

They have a bad habit of lying also... the other day i col their call centre since the poslaju ofis in forever not picking up or engaged. They have the guts to lie to me and say their driver came but i wasnt home. but the tag they normally leave was not there and the past 2 days ive been waiting in the hall for them.. big fat lazy liers! When i scolded them they even broke my things in the parcel out of spite!

Hello there, just wanted to share a post laju experience today, i was expecting my parcel to arrive today from Kuching and being i'm in Kota Kinabalu, shouldnt be a hassle right? WRONG! Poslaju made me wait the whole day at my office and when i finally called them to asked about my parcel they gave me a weak excuse that the lazy postmen could not find my address because it wasnt complete, just to explain, my shop is situated strategically where the main road enters into my commercial area, only way in, i have a CCTV running 24-7 ,365 for security and it faces the main road, i checked and NO POSLAJU VAN. A few very stern calls to poslaju using my cctv video as evidence and also telling them i'll send this to the media, they got the lazy bugger to send my parcel, and upon arrival i was faced with a rather sour faced postman who kept telling me my address wasnt complete. I showed him the video and he left quietly. Kudos Poslaju! My partner companies and i will no longer use this courier service. Maybe next time you guys can use what i used against them as well. :)

Pos Laju should change their name to POS LAMBAT. I purchase an item online and I was using DHL service to courier.

But since DHL does not delivery to residential, they pass it to Pos Laju to handle the parcel to residential area.

My parcel already handover to Pos Laju since yesterday and should arrive today. As I managed to get from DHL the Pos Laju consignment note number for tracking, I checked Pos Laju website and it indicated the parcel already left the facility to deliver the item 7am.

However, I waited whole day at home until 3pm still did not see any pos laju postman making any delivery. Therefore I call up 1-300-300-300 their hotline to double check where is my parcel.

To my surprise, the operator told me that the courier postman went to the wrong area, instead of coming to Puchong, they went to Bangi.

What the hell, a company with more than 30 years of services can wrongly arrange the parcel to Bangi.

The worst part is when I ask them when the driver coming to Puchong? Can I drop over to pick it up, the reply from the operator is that she cannot confirm. She need to check both side Bangi and Puchong first. Only then she can get back to me day after tomorrow since tomorrow is public holiday. OMG! With telecommunication so advance, a phone call just a minute away and they need 1 whole day only can get back to me.

This is by far the worst courier company I ever come across.

don't blame malay for this about the post laju. it's the management itself. if chinese runs it but still have issues on management itself, what's the different?

yes pos laju is retarded. i'm malay and i feel almost the same like you regarding to their poor services.

puas call pos laju KLIA tapi tak de orang angkat...dah berpuluh kali call.....wujud ke tak wujud ni...adaa sekali seseorang jawab tapi belum apa apa dah transfer kat orang lain tapi malangnya....kena tunggu sampai sudah tak de yang menjawapnya.....menteri bodoh....pekerja lagi bodoh.....

For you guys who tried to call more than 100 times, but no answer, consider yourself lucky.

For my case, I wasn't so lucky. Some stupid F answered call, and promised to deliver in next 2 days. 2 days later, I waited whole day but PosLaju no show, parcel never came.

Again, I dialed about hundred times and finally got connected, complained to the F, turned deaf ear over my queries, dunno whether she stupid or she thinks I'm stupid, promised to deliver next day. Next day came, again no show by PosLaju...

Email also won't work because they read emails 3 days later. And when they do reply, they write nonsense.

Don't know what to do with them. 2 weeks coming and they're gonna tell me unclaimed/undelivered parcels for more than 2wk will be sent back to sender. Is this their strategy, modus operandi? Keep delaying until finally keep the goods for own use?
