Be firm with Hindraf, bro Hisham!

My advise to Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein - do not bow to Hindraf and do not reverse a decision by the police in rejecting them a demonstration permit (to be held today at the KL Convention Centre).

Accusation that our government opposes peaceful demonstrations (read Malaysiakini) is a blatant 'anti-unity punchline' by some anti-Malaysia groups, including the 'pro-communist' news portal trying to be heroes of absolute freedom.

Afterall, Hindraf was planning the demo to avow their disgust at 'Interlok', a controversial novel now suspended as a Form 5 literature reference. And knowing Hindraf and how they operate, there wont be any 'peaceful' demo!

One of its leaders Moorthy even went overboard by asking the Indian Government to severe all trade and economic ties with Malaysia. He feels more Indian than a Malaysian citizen. In fact, members of the organisation think they are not Malaysians at all, unlike Malaysian Chinese who are proud to be Malaysians (they never asked mainland China to take any action against Malaysia).

It think it is time for Hisham to re-evaluate the social and political condition in the country. Although some people criticised him for his adamant and late action in the past, I believe he got reason not to be too harsh in any actions. However, I believe he has done quite a good job and can improve further.

To Hindraf leaders, do reconsider your 'fight for nothing'. If you feel Malaysia is not your country, may as well go back to where your ancestors came from and see whether their system is much better than that of Malaysia.

Unless if you consider yourself as Malaysians, learn more about the country and its people, its unique multiracial society and politics. Malaysia is not India as there is no Malays over there... and the Malays have been very, very tolerant!

You are also part of the reasons why ISA must stay...

Once you are in the government never make a 'political' decision.....keep it strictly administrative! You may be inclined to seek and decide based on 'politics' and you maybe able to please a few of your supporters but loose the confidence of the rakyat because 'political' decisions are almost always hard to convince or explain to the rakyat!

jai,

memang serba salah kerajaan dibuatnya

1. What's the use of detaining 'those culprits' and releasing them a few hours later. May I suggest that 'the law-breakers' simply be detained for an indefinite period of time until such time when repentance is forth-coming. Perhaps a taste of the ISA would be more suitable for people bent on de-stablising the political and social fabric of our society.

2. It's high time Malaysia enforces some kind of draconian measures to stem or curb further retaliation or challenges to the country's laws. Go to blazes with what the world or other countries think of us. A neighbouring country simply doesn't care two hoots for world-views; and look how 'peaceful' they are from demonstrations and the likes ! Perhaps this kind of military or regimented governmental actions could be the answer to this irritant !

3. If Hindraf is a non-legal entity or an unregistered body, then use all the relevant laws and simply detain them as pure trouble-makers! Releasing them after just taking down their particulars makes a mockery of our system ! These offenders, waiting for the slightest excuse to undermine the credibilty of our country's laws and in the process generously provide fodder for those unkind critics of whatever the govenment does, have no love for this country. Rightly so when we get suggestions to send them back to where their ancestors came from ! These 'political perverts and hypocrites' don't deserve to be here, especially if they have no qualms about criticising the country that had given them so much to be thankful for ! Don't talk about these fellas being marginalised ; it's all crap ! They should be grateful NOT otherwise !

4. For those who cherish harmonious living and political stability, let's get our voices together and strongly demand or work towards getting 'these trash' out of our society, be they Malays, Chinese or Indians ! Let's see if our KDN and its Minister has got what it takes to punish those 'guilty' ones ; of course working within the ambit of our country's laws !

5. I for one would support the ISA as a pre-emptive measure to curb 'unpatriotic misdemeanours' ; in fact more stringent considerations and additions would be supported by many, save of course by those with unpatriotic and disloyal traits in them ; these so-called citizens of our beloved country ! Someone suggested, though many would not take this suggestion kindly, that the military work with the police to check and apprehend 'traitors'and political gangsters ! Teach them a lesson they'll never forget and perhaps we'll see the last of these continuous provocations ! Lock-up the ringleaders or whoever is the master-mind. Let them rot in the 'place' that they rightly deserve to be in ! Let them know that peace-loving Malaysians loathe them for what they are or for what they stand for, illegally that is !
