Oslo BACKings for Anwar

Malaysia is one of the world's most insidious authoritarian governments for its ISA, for having leaders like Najib and mentor Dr Mahathir, for its disabling grip on the justice system and the media... and most important for its conspiracy to put Anwar Ibrahim back to jail and fail his politics.

Wow! These are the words of the Oslo-based Human Rights Foundation's president Thor Halvorssen (pic), a young (and good-looking) actor and film producer who founded it in 1995. He is also the founder of the Oslo Freedom Forum.

Read his article Malaysia's Bridge Is Falling Down which condemned the Malaysian government of being too autocratic while its bad human rights record has been blanketed by its good economic growth and progressive development.

The Internal Security Act, he said has created a climate of fear among Malaysians as the government is very fond of applying it on the opposition, student leaders, lawyers and others who criticize Najib and his Cabinet.

I think Halvorssen got this picture over a conversation with Anwar during a dinner in Kuala Lumpur recently. Not a surprise and nothing shocking at all but Anwar is having more backings from the human rights organisations and I dont think his sliding rapport with the American-Jew people will affect him much.

This guy is becoming one of Anwar's good buddies over the past few years, it seems. I suggest that he produce a movie on Anwar in the Norwegian language! By his look, Halvorssen can play Saiful...

We should be concerned of the bigger picture which is the culture of fear and corrupt practices all around. As a Malaysian i know many of the cases first hand and it affects our quality of life of all our beloved Malaysians.

So what is wrong if someone out there start banging the drums to wake us up? I say we need more drums and they need to get louder - Malaysia Must Grow, Corrupt figures Must Go.

Wow! You're pathetic! You're dissing the guy just because he's good-looking. Maybe you can play the ugly monster who blows up the helpless model. By the way, the Oslo guy is right on every level. It's just guys like you that make things worst for us Malaysians. Sicko!

What should be of concern to Malaysians is that if there are many foreigners putting out similar bad reports of the country, there may be repercussions on Malaysia's economy.

Wealthy foreign investors and corporations intending to invest in Malaysia might be frightened off when they read reports like this and so they might change their mind about investing here and instead invest their money and factories in another country.

Dulu tuduh Anwar bayar bayar duit pada CNN untuk masuk program Connect the World.Terbukti tuduhan tu palsu bila CNN nafikan. Sekarang sapa habiskan rm 50 ribu untuk masuk media US??? tak cukup lagi ke dengan APCO dan 77 juta dihabiskan?

But Anwar had this to say.

“Audacity to allege I paid CNN? Ha Ha",” he tweeted.

It must have felt sweet.

I agree with you that Malaysia must grow and corrupt figures must go.

But you are drumming an empty drum vessels yourself while Anwar is also corrupt. He must first go without being told. You're just shit , thats all.
