MCA members today chose Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek as their new president, leaving incumbent Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat without any party position while former president Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting got nothing to lose.
Congratulations to our former Health Minister... and may his victory augur well in bringing about unity to the party and stability to BN (read Bernama h e r e).
Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Chua's strongest ally is deputy president. Vice presidents are Yen Yen, Donald Lim, Chor Chee Heung and Gan Ping Sieu.

yes. soi lek has proven it. despite having to quit his post as a cabinet minister over the sex scandal, he is the leader of the masses.

saya gembira chua soi lek yang menang. sebagai rakyat keturunan cina, beliau amat rapat dengan bangsa lain dan disenangi oleh orang melayu, india dan orang lain.
chua adalah pemimpin sejati dalam konteks 1malaysia kerana gaya kepemimpinannya yang telus dan bersifat gentleman. susah untuk kita dapat pemimpin macam dia pada zaman ini.
barisan nasional akan terus kukuh dengan presiden MCA seperti beliau. kefasihannya berbahasa malaysia juga adalah antara ciri yang mampu membantu barisan nasional melaksanakan apa juga rancangan yang disusun untuk rakyat.
chua juga bukan seorang yang angkuh. dia mudah didampingi ssiapa saja dan di mana jua. sikapnya yang terbuka dan tidak berat mulut juga menjadikan beliau bukan saja popular di johor malah di negeri lain. ini terbukti daripada undi besar yang diperolehinya.
sebagai orang melayu, saya memandang baik perubahan pucuk kepimpinan MCA, terutama apabila diterajui oleh datuk seri chua soi lek. timbalannya juga seorang yang disenangi bangsa lain kerana dia bukan seorang yang bersifat chauvinis atau ultra.
semoga MCA lebih maju...
