Dunno! Whether its part of revenue management or cheap thrill, our local TV stations are getting fond of 'filthy-sexy' kind of advertisement. From 'ubat kuat' for men and women to products to revitalise your 'performance' and smoothen your menstruation, its getting out of control.
Rais Yatim - please check this out and take it to the Cabinet. It doesnt look good. It serves no education purpose either! Even kids as young as 3 years old are now imitating the gimmick 'abang dah balik yang!'... 'saya kat bilik bang!'
You like that, dont you?
I am not a holy person but I do observe what is being feed to kids like these nowadays.
Even our tabloids, in supporting the government's 'war against ah long' still make money from such advertisements. Just take a look at Harian Metro, for instance.
Sooner or later, we wont be surprise to see 'dildos' ads on local TV channels. Yup, it generates income to the operators, of course.
Can we put a check on all this craps? The respective ministry should appoint a special committee to monitor such ads rather than thinking of how much can be reaped.
Unless you already got plan to licence a sex TV...

I was in Indonesia a few years ago and I could vividly recall an ads in one of the country's radio channel. The daughter who had got married a day earlier and appeared to be tired, weary and lifeless the next morning was asked by the mother 'Apa, sakit?' The daughter replied 'Ah, ibu ini.' The ads was obviously promoting a certain kind of tonic to make one revitalised after a 'hard night's work.'
I share you concern. We may be late starters but before further serious damage is inflicted something must be done to avert it.
Kopi Power? This is being aired from 9pm daily and also at 4pm. The gay/sex changing genie seems to be offering more than coffee-eh?
sdr,
i am also against it. it serves no purppose at all. its time for the govt to reconsider its advertising law on radio and tv.
i thought nobody would touch on this issue.
glad that u did.
know what my 4-yr old boy does each time he watch such ads? he will show his THING, saying i want that also....!
hahahahaha!!! rais yatim pun makan ubat ni jugak kot! sebab tu dia biarkan je iklan mengarut ni kat tv
LAUNCH A WAR ON SUCH ADVERTISEMENTS. U BLOGGERS SHOULD LEAD THE WAY
go bro, go against it.
i dont think they will listen to u..
the govt makes tonnes of money from such ads.
rais yatim? hopeless!
OII!!! KASI CAN LA! DIORANG PUN NAK PROMOTE PRODUCT JUGAK! SEBOK JE!
yes. the govt must do something about it. not healthy and no moral value either.
