Who's trying to fix up Ahmad Said?

Some people said the political turmoil in Terengganu was expected and well-planned. Who planned it, I dont wanna say anything.

However, it is not good for the new government of Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said, too has had sleepless nights ever since Pak Lah stepped down on April 3. (Also read Chun Wai here...)

The rumours are that, somebody or a certain quarter in Umno Terengganu was trying to set up Ahmad whom they accused of running the state like a dictator.

When Ahmad was sworn in as the new MB after the 12th general election on March 8, 2008, he went against all odds as Datuk Idris Jusoh was tipped to continue leading the oil-rich state. However, Ahmad got the full blessings of the Palace, hence Idris was 'toppled'.

During that time, Ajil state assemblyman Datuk Rosol Wahid led the protest by about 20 BN Aduns who were against the appointment of Ahmad. They were Idris men, alright. Even the then premier Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, after meetings with Idris and Ahmad, failed to stop what was described as 'the Palace interferences' in picking up a new MB.

So, Rosol and team had to oblige. Ahmad became Mentri Besar. What was harbored against Ahmad until today, nobody knew but it can be sensed.

When I was in Kuala Terengganu for 2 weeks for the January 17 by-election, Rosol and gang were nowhere to be seen. Idris attended few ceramahs, so sporty of him. He was still the crowd puller. In fact Najib said it loud in one of his ceramahs that it was Idris who shaped up Terengganu into what it is today.

When Najib became PM, maybe Rosol and gang saw the opportunity to re-seat Idris to where he was, as the Mentri Besar. As Pak Lah was not able to fulfill their needs, they saw opportunities in Najib. Perhaps Najib's statement then was very insinuating.

The news that Ahmad might face a motion of no-confidence at the State Legislative has made the rumours almost as good as it will happen anyway. The 'death threat' SMS received by Rosol and 2 other Aduns have been referred to the police. Investigation was under way.

Did Ahmad men send out the SMS? Or was it politically-orchestrated to apply more pressure on the MB. Who was the mastermind?

Rosol and gang are in KL today to meet Najib and his deputy. Why was Ahmad not summoned? Maybe later after both have listened to Rosol and The Gang.

Whatever it is, the Terengganu issue needs to resolved amicably. As Najib is already having a tough time attending to problems with BN (what's the problem with MIC, MCA and Gerakan?) and Umno, he ought to have a bigger brain to attend to all this craps!

Mereka saling hendak tumbangkan satu sama lain. Bacalah dlm malaysiaaktif.com.
