Gosh! 15 candidates for Bukit Selambau by-election. An election record, indeed but how do we look at it?
Its a farce, actually. Since an Independent (who later joined PR-led state government and made an Exco) won it in the last general election, it drew excitement among the aspirants.
Could it be a success story again for a non-BN and non-PR candidate this time?
Anyway, from my own perception, the rakyat was turning the by-election into a grandfather's fiddlestick episode, making the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat as hangdogs for their continuous incompetence in attending to their needs.
Each time there's a by-election, BN and PR would mass up their supporters. Many promises made but nothing happens so far, just like the one in Kuala Terengganu on January 17 this year.
They want changes, too. They wont become just the meeks anymore to BN and PR. They are just fed up, disgusted and blased, especially with some politicians playing superficial but on IQ zero.
The Malay politicians, notably are becoming their bete noire for bickering among themselves, irrespective of Umno, PAS or Keadilan.
So, they better turn to those outside the parties. For once, they saw a good example in Ibrahim Ali who got the opportunity to whack whoever he likes at the Dewan Rakyat.
