The parade of luxury, comfort and fashion has started. Go around Kuala Lumpur, check out at any hotels and you may observe this.
The Umno General Assembly which kicks off today until March 28 is bringing together its usual convention.
Its delegates, leaders, observers and supporters have flocked almost all hotels and service-apartments in the city. Even the cheapest motels and 'rumah tumpangan' are fully booked.
That's what the general assembly is all about. Its more like a showcase of luxury cars, their affordability to put up at 4 and 5-star hotels for a week, a galore of fashion (among the women) and the platform to boast about anything.
In the past, some top 'dangdut clubs' too we pact with Umno people... and so were some hot spots. Will it be the usual thing again this time around?
And of course, some people may turn the general assembly as a mean to lucre as some of those attending is are business magnates. It goes without saying.
Some will start playing hocus-pocus to impress others while some will become serpentines of their own. It will be interesting to watch and observe.
As I mentioned in my previous postings about 'Perangai buruk orang Melayu', here is the opportunity to support my argument that the Malays only see a lot of 'haram' in 'babi' but NOT in other things.
Being the largest political party in the country, Umno should look into this, dont you think so, readers?
