As expected, British and US envoys in Kuala Lumpur did not attend the special session on Palestine held at the Parliament today. They did not even despatch a representative.
However, 81 ambassadors, high commissioners and charge d'affairs took part in the session. It was part of Malaysia initiatives to call for the end of Israel atrocities in Gaza, which to date has killed about 800 and injured 3,000 more.
The session adopted a resolution calling the United Nations to set up a tribunal to put to trial any Israeli leaders accused of launching mass killings and illegal cross-border activities on Palestine territories.
British was the main broker of Balfour Declaration 1917 which allowed the establishment of a Jewish state on Palestine homeland.
The United States - Israeli best friend - has all the while stood firm behind Tel Aviv in the Middle East conflict as its major supplier of weapons and protecting Israel interest at the United Nations by shooting down each and every resolution condemning its agression on the Palestinians.
