Let it be a good lesson

Now that Paklah has come down hard on Ahmad Ismail, Malaysians should bear in mind that politics of racism is not permitted in this country. It is not going to be easy for Ahmad but it WILL also not going to be a leeway for those from MCA, Gerakan, DAP or other political and non-political organisations to make racial statements from now on. Let this be a good lesson. Malaysian politics should stay focus on nation-building and not to tear it apart.

AHMAD ISMAIL ADALAH MANGSA KEADAAN.

BAGAIMANAPUN, OLEH KERANA ISU INI DIANGGAP SUDAH DITUTUP, ELOKLAH KITA RENUNG BALIK APA YANG DIKATAKAN OLEH PEMIMPIN BUKAN UMNO.

SELAMA INI MEMANG MELAYULAH YANG BANYAK MENGALAH DAN MEMOHON MAAF JIKA ADA KETERLANJURAN. BANGSA LAIN LANGSUNG TAK RETI NAK MINTA MAAF.

CUMA DIHARAP, SELEPAS AHMAD ISMAIL KENA HUKUMAN, PEMIMPIN LAIN JUGA TAK BOLEH DILEPASKAN.

Dear Jai,

As a watchdog, journalist and their papers should be responsible enough in reporting the truth. I am astonish to note that the root of the racial problem started by newspapers.

Editors are scared to face the wrath of the their paymaster, mostly politically inclined.

The newspaper are the nexus of communication, as such what you report in your paper will be pick up by the foreign embassies and consulates who transmits this report clipping to their intelligent outfits.

that is the reasons, we are facing a lot of negative response from foreigners.

I am sad to say that, my principal in Canada was so scared to send his Engineers to our offshore due to this negative reporting.

As I urged anyone involved in the media should improve your reporting and not to give sensation innuendo for the sake of selling your paper.

Jai, what say you.

u are rite. the media plays a pivital role in nation-building. they are the ones the public turn to for info and additional knowledge and they tend to swallow whatever is being reported.

journalists should be more tactful in their writing. they have the power to shape up or run down the nation.

i remember a senior journalist with the new york times, name david everingham (correct me if i am wrong). he was responsible to shoot nixon to fame and years later shot him down to earth!
